Recovery Coaching

Recovery Coaches at Outasight support services work creatively and resourcefully with participants to achieve their goals and build capacity in the following areas:

- Develop a recovery enabling relationship, supporting engagement with the NDIS and other services/supports. 

- Coaching recovery skills and personal capacity, including motivation, resilience and decision-making

- Ensure conflict of interest policies and processes are always implemented

- Support the participant to access and link to informal, community, mainstream and funded supports, exploring optimisation of support budget and flexibility to meet individual goals and requirements. 

- Coach a participant to negotiate services and prices, arrange Service Agreements and create service bookings with preferred providers, negotiate services and prices with any quotable supports, genuine choice and control for participants.

- Strengthen and enhance participant’s capacity to coordinate supports, self-direct, participate in the community and manage supports, including providing participants with assistance to: 

- Resolve problems or issues that arise, understanding rights and responsibilities under service agreements, change or end service agreements. 

- Reports and Reviews: Reporting to NDIS plan progression and updates, assisting participants identify if they met their goals and got value for money in their plan, identify solutions to problems experienced in plan implementation, considering new goals, supporting participants to decide on what actions to take to achieve goals in relation to exploring housing options and life transition planning.
